A single entry Schengen visa allows a candidate to visit the Schengen area once and only for a specific period of time, once the candidate leaves the area the visa expires. However, with the multiple entry visa applicants can come and go as they want within the Schengen area.

All Indian nationals, who reside in India, can apply for this Visa. You must belong to one of the following mentioned categories:


  • You must be an Indian passport holder.
  • Third-world nationals who need to obtain a visa to Europe, living in India under a permanent or temporary residence permit.

The cost of an application for a child that comes under the age of 6 years to 12 years is €40.

If you are following all the port of entry rules, then you can do this. You can exit from another country than the one you initially entered. However, you need to make sure that you are complying with the Schengen zone only.

A Schengen tourist visa allows for a maximum stay of 90 days within a 180-day period for a multiple entry visa. After the 90-day limit is reached, you must leave the Schengen Area and cannot return until the 180-day period resets.
