Latest Express Entry draw invites 3,900 candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residence

An Express Entry draw was held on October 2nd by the Canadian authorities. In the latest draw, 3,900 invitations to apply for the permanent resident visa for Canada were announced.

In this round, those candidates who had a comprehensive ranking system score of 464 and above were selected. 300 more invitations to apply for the PR visa were sent out in this draw as compared to the last draw that was held on September 18th.

In the draw that was held on January 23rd, 2019 the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) had sent 3900 ITA for PR visas. After that, only in the latest draw 3900 ITA’s have been issued.

Skilled foreign workers who want to migrate to Canada must opt for the express entry system. In this, the eligible candidates need to create an express entry profile. The candidate is given points based on several factors. These factors are age, education, work experience, language proficiency etc. The profile is ranked based on the points. The profile with higher points will get higher rankings. The candidates with better ranking will have better chances of selection in the draw.

Only those candidates who fulfil the eligibility requirements for one of Canada’s three Federal High Skilled economic-class immigration categories —the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class can apply under this system.

The tie break rule for the latest draw was September 20, 2019, at 15:05:04 UTC. This means that those candidates who had a score of 464 points and above in the express entry pool and who had entered the pool before this date and time have received the ITA. Those candidates who are aspiring to apply under this system must make sure that they fulfil the latest crs score requirement.

With this latest draw, the total number of invitations that were issued in the year 2019 has become 67,300. Last year a record number of ITA’s that is 89,800 had been issued. If the IRCC continues issuing a high number of ITA’s in the last quarter of this year then there is a possibility that the total number of ITA’s that were issued this year could surpass the record number of ITA’s that were issued last year.

Those candidates who have low scores can always explore the option of the Provincial nomination programme. The latest draw for the British Columbia Provincial Nomination programme was held on 1st October 2019. In this 409 candidates were invited. Of these 109 invitations were sent to people who had express entry profile.

It must be noted that when an express entry candidate gets a provincial nomination he will get 600 additional points. This almost ascertains the candidate’s selection in the express entry draw.
