September 18 Express Entry draw issues 3,600 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence

The latest Express entry draw was held on September 18th, 2019. 3600 invitations to apply for the Canadian PR have been sent out in this draw. In this draw, the minimum comprehensive ranking score was 462 points. This is one point less as compared to the draw that was held on September 4th.

Candidates who want to apply for the Canada’s three Federal High Skilled economic immigration categories — the  Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class will have to submit their applications in the Express Entry system.

The eligible candidates can create the express entry profile in the express entry pool of candidates. The profile of the candidate will be given points based on different factors like age, language proficiency, work experience etc. The profile of the candidates will be given points based on their points.

The candidates with the highest points will get a higher ranking. In the Express Entry draw        those candidates who have higher ranking will have better chances of selection. These draws are normally held after every 2 weeks.

After this latest draw, the total number of invitations to apply for Canada PR issued in 2019 is 63,400.

Last year that is in 2018 Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) had issued only 58,600. Then the total number ITA’s that were issued last year were 89,800. The admission target for the three categories is 81,400 for 2019 and 85,800 for 2020.

The tie-break used in the September 18 draw was August 29, 2019, at 07:57:13 UTC. This means that all those candidates who had a score of 462 and above and had created the express entry profile before the tie break time and date were invited to apply for the Canada PR.

In case a candidate has failed to get the invitation to apply for the PR visa in the express entry system then he or she must try for the provincial nomination. The different provinces in Canada have their own provincial nominee programme. Those candidates who get the provincial nomination will get an additional 600 points. This will almost ascertain the selection of the candidate in the express entry system draw. At times it is found that you do not even need a minimum CRS score to get selected for Provinces express entry stream.
