In new express entry draw Canadian authorities send 3600 invitations to apply for Canada Permanent resident visa

The Government of Canada conducted a new draw on 4th September. They have selected 3600 candidates. This means that 3600 invitations to apply will be issued. As compared to the draw that was held on 20th August there was an increase of 6 points in this draw. The minimum CRS score in this Express Entry draw was 463.

The Express entry system is the means through which Canadian authorities can select the best foreign skilled workers. Candidates who want to apply for Federal High Skilled economic class immigration programs — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class have to create their profile in the express entry system.

The candidate profiles are given points based on different factors. These factors are the age of the candidate, education, work experience, English and/or French language skills etc. The ranking of the profiles in the express entry pool depends on the points. Higher the points better the ranking.

The Canadian authorities hold the draws at regular intervals. A certain number of high ranked candidates are sent invitations to apply for the PR visa of Canada.

The draw that was held on 4th September is the 17th draw of 2019 and that takes the number of ITA’s issued this year to 59800. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) had issued 89,800 ITAs last year. For the years 2019 and 2020, the target for issuing ITA’s under Federal High Skilled immigration programs is high. So we can expect than the number of ITA’s that will be issued in 2019 will be higher as compared to 2018.

In 2018 at this point, IRCC had issued only 54,700 ITA’s. This year it has issued 59800 ITA’s which is higher as compared to last year.

The rise in the minimum CRS score is mainly due to the longer time between 2 draws. There was a gap of 15 days between the draw of 20th August and 4th September. So naturally, there was a rise in the CRS score.

The tie break applied in the September 4 draw was August 23, 2019, at 13:33:34 UTC. This means that all the candidates with score 463 who entered into the pool before this date and time have received the invitation to apply for the PR visa.

Candidates who have low scores can give a boost to their total scores by getting a provincial nomination which can get them additional 600 points. This will increase the chances of the candidate to get the ITA.

In 2019 different provinces have held around 170 draws. This is much more than the 17 express entry draws.

If a skilled person aspires to settle down in Canada then he or she must explore the option of express entry system. Yes, the overall application process can be a complicated one. But that will not be a problem if you take the assistance of reputed Canada Immigration consultants. Experienced consultants will guide the candidate in the best possible way.
