The sub class 190 visa is for those people who have been nominated by a State or territory in Australia. This visa allows the person to work and study in Australia. This visa is a permanent residency visa.

The eligibility factor of the visa:

  • The eligibility criteria for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) are as follows:
  • The applicant must be engaged in an occupation which is considered for this visa
  • The applicant must provide a skills assessment analysis for that occupation
  • This is a point based visa and the applicant must have a minimum of 60 points to be eligible for this visa
  • The applicant must get nomination from a State or a territory of Australia
  • The applicant must have command on English language
  • The age of the applicant has to be 45 years or less than that when he gets the invitation

How to apply for Australia Skilled Sub Class 190?

Here is the process for applying for the sub class 190 visa:

  • First of all you will need a nomination from the State or Territory government agency. For this the applicant must get in touch with the agency in order to understand the exact process for getting the nomination
  • Next the applicant will have to upload his profile in skills select. Here the applicant needs to give a clear idea about his qualifications and occupation. He also needs to mention clearly about his skills and give details about the same.
  • The applicant will then be ranked based on the points that he scores from the point system. More the points, better will be the ranking.
  • The various agencies can then view the applicant’s profile in skills select. If they find the applicant eligible then they will nominate the applicant.
  • If the applicant gets a nomination then he will get an invitation to apply for the visa.
  • Once the applicant gets the invitation to apply then he will have sixty days to apply for the visa

Details about the processing time of the visa

If all the papers and formalities are completed properly, then it is found that 75 % of the applications are processed in seven months. Almost 90% applications are generally processed in nine months. However, applicants must note that this can vary and it will depend on a number of factors.

The occupation that the applicant selects has to be listed in the skilled occupation list that is provided by the authorities.

  • The candidate needs to submit a health certificate. This is to certify that the candidate is in the best of health.
  • The applicant also needs to submit a moral certificate which certifies that the applicant is of good character.
  • If the applicant has any outstanding debts to the Australian government then he must have repaid those debts. Or he must at least make necessary arrangement to make sure that the debts are repaid.
  • The applicants must note that if their earlier visa applications were rejected by the Australian authorities then there are chances that this visa application may also get rejected.

  • Expression of interest basically provides details about the applicants. This expression if interest is valid for a period of two tears.
  • Anyone who wants to get an invitation to apply for the visa will have to submit expression of interest
  • It is mandatory that the age of the applicant is less than 45 years. If the applicant If the applicant submits the EOI and then turns 45 years it should be noted that he will not be invited to apply the visa. But in case the applicant gets the invitation to apply for the visa and then he becomes 45 years he can apply for the visa.
  • The applicant can apply expression of interest free of cost
  • The applicant can be in Australia or he can be outside of Australia at the time of submission of expression of interest.
  • The applicant can make changes to his EOI before getting the invitation to apply for the visa
